About 1Cubed
Travis Pastrana

Travis Pastrana is the superstar of motorcross racing. He’s tall (6’1”), thin (165-185 lbs.), and young (born October 8, 1983). Plus, he’s rich, famous, and according to postings on his website message boards, “a hottie.” No one else can come close to his popularity when it comes to riding a bike—and people love to talk about him. Of course, he has won several competitions. Whether it’s the Gravity Games, X Games, or Supercross, or any other gathering involving young, mostly male bike riders, Pastrana has made his mark in the world of motorcross.

“What I like about him is that he is just being himself,” says one message board fan. “He’s smart and goes after his goals. His looks are a bonus tle on my list of what I like about him.”

Often described as sexy, Pastrana’s image was further enhanced when he showed off his house on MTV’s CRIBS, a show where celebrities let the cameras roll inside their homes. Fans really feel connected with the lanky 20-year-old because he is the kind of guy who truly cares about them.

“I think more people are interested in Travis because he's so approachable,” says another message board fan. “Everyone's seen his house, his cars, his parents, his friends, etc.”

Because he’s young, rich and famous, you can bet that he’s given lots of gifts, cars among them. He’s pretty well known for driving fast, fancy cars—living out most young males’ fantasies of wild times on the road. Typically, those fantasies would include a girlfriend in the passenger seat, but Pastrana’s life is so busy, it seems he doesn’t have time to date. Fans are always speculating about his love life, though. The rumor is that he and friend Sarah Whitmore, a fellow motorcross champion, might be an item. Still, that’s just a rumor. People love to gossip about Pastrana’s personal life.

Besides being popular for his looks, bikes and cars, dating potential, and endless TV appearances, Pastrana is also known for doing tricks on his bikes. These tricks are the kind that make older people cringe because they’re worried about his safety and younger people open their mouths in awe, saying, “I can’t believe he did that!” The way he flips and spins bikes, Pastrana has endured a long list of injuries in his career. Recently, he had a stress fracture in his ankle and a cracked wrist.

If he can avoid injuries and continue to win competitions, Pastrana will further enhance his already established popularity in the sport of motorcross. Better yet, if he continues to seek out chances to appear on TV, he could have a future in acting.

Having starred in DVDs like “Nitro Circus,” as well as AT&T commercials, Pastrana’s camera-friendly looks and demeanor are perfect for a TV series. There have been talks about his starring in some sort-of reality show. It remains to be seen how, when, and if that will pan out.

For now, this young man of faith continues to inspire, entertain and engage millions of fans with his riding talent and nice guy attitude. Travis Pastrana is one to watch.
