Give Your Heart to Him!
2 Chronicles 16:9 (New Living Translation)
9The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
Through our own human craftiness we can manipulate quite a number of things in this life. But the things that we can do without God are not the things that are most needed, for those deeper essentials are only his to give. Only God has the power to do for us the things we really need done and only he can do the impossible. Only he can heal our mangled hearts and restore broken relationships.
Only he can revive our mind, body and soul. Only he can give us true purpose, meaning and destiny in our lives. Only he can grant true peace and assurance. Only he can comfort the lonely with his presence. Only through him is there forgiveness and salvation. Only he can give hope to a hopeless situation! He is the God of suddenly, and suddenly he can bring life to impossible situations and circumstances.
His spirit desperately, continuously and ravenously searches the earth looking for those few people whose heart is fully his. And I do mean few, for most of us are stingy with our hearts towards him.
There is so much we need from God, if only we could rid ourselves of pride we could admit it. There is so much he wants to give us if only we will commit our heart to him and trust in him for he loves each of us deeply with an everlasting love.
The choice is always ours, for he is ready, willing and able to strengthen us to become all that he has called us to be. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord on this day and let him strengthen you to fulfill that which he has made you for. For it is his good pleasure to do so for those of his children who trust in him and obey his commands. Give your heart to Jesus so that he can show you great and mighty things you never thought possible!
The Lord must have really wanted some of you to hear this because he woke me up at 3:00 in the morning in Copenhagen, Denmark to write this message. I have not always responded to God’s voice so quickly in the past, but I am now learning to obey his voice no matter what time it is, for it always brings forth great fruit.
He put this scripture and these words on my heart to encourage you in him. But remember, “Many people receive advice in life, but only the wise profit from it.” Be blessed my friends and soften your hearts towards your maker and put it in his hands. Believing that God will strengthen you where you need it most!
