Faithfulness
Proverbs 28:20 (Amplified Bible)
20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings, but he who makes haste to be rich [at any cost] shall not go unpunished.
Insight, Application & Encouragement:
Faithfulness is one of the greatest qualities that a person could ever have and should strive for! And the good news is that no matter where we are at with it, with the help of the Holy Spirit it can be developed. Remember there will be trials, tribulations and temptations which will inevitably test our faithfulness. Faithfulness is always put to the test when pressure is applied and an easier option is presented. We can make a preeminent decision up front before a temptation or trial to be faithful. Just like crimes can be premeditated, so can faithfulness. We purpose these decisions in our heart long before the opportunities present themselves.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you areas where you have compromised and come before him and ask for forgiveness and that he would cleanse you with the precious blood of his son Jesus. Choose to surrender that area to his Holy Spirit and decide to improve and you will see remarkable growth. Fortunately because of the cross we are all redeemable no matter how much we may have messed up.
Be faithful with your words, eyes, thoughts, heart, actions, talents, money, service and attitude. Faithfulness goes so much deeper than fidelity in marriage, that’s only one little part of the picture. Faithfulness is a condition of the spirit and covers every conceivable part of your life both visible and invisible.
Resist the temptation to seek after ungodly means of riches. The golden rule should be this; If in the pursuit of worldly wealth it violates faithfulness to God it should be avoided. Faithfulness to God, not greed, determines success in life.
In order to grow as people, we need raise our level of faithfulness to our spouses, children, friends, colleagues, work and we need to be faithful to the call and purposes God has placed in our hearts.
To be faithful means to have firmness, stability, fidelity, conscientiousness, steadiness, certainty; that which is permanent, enduring, and steadfast. Your true faithfulness will not go unrewarded because God sees all, even that which is done in secret. If we prove ourselves faithful, God will surely bless us in many immeasurable ways. Be faithful my friends in your hearts towards God and his children and reap the reward for doing so!!!
Faithfully yours---Zoro
